I.Questions and Answers.
Q:> 1. I have a NOVEX VC (old video catcher series) - can I get a software update or upgrade?
The NOVEX VC PCI was basically the same product as the NOVEX VC PLUS, but based on a pci card eliminating the use of an EPP port and providing a faster refresh rate. Both were discontinued in year 2001.
On October 9, 1999 we had released our FINAL NOVEX VC PLUS update - software version 5.1, which is still available for download from: http://www.novexcanada.com/upgrade.htm for free. The last software upgrade (NOVEX VC+ version 5.1/0910) has multilevel password, log history of alarms/recordings, quick preview of alarms and recordings, built-in motion detector with trigger recording, weekly timer recording, quad recording, database with 500 sites for quick dial up, lock control, Y2K and Windows98SE compliance.
likewise the last software (upgrade) for the NOVEX VC PCI is available at:
http://www.novexcanada.com/upgradePCI.htm . The last NOVEX VC PCI software upgrade was done in February 2001 and there are no more scheduled upgrades for the product - it's obsolete as of June 2001.

We offer ActiveX control for custom projects and OEM orders, but only to approved qualified developers and OEMs. Integration to POS, ATM, Access Control, MIS and other systems is possible and welcome.
Q:> 3. Are you going to integrate more PTZ camera models and IP cameras and IP servers?
Yes ! Currently the NOVEX2000 supports Pelco, NOVEX SPEED DOME, Ultrak, Philips, Burle, Vicon, Kalatel, Panasonic, Canon, Sensormatic / American Dynamics, Samsung, Lilin, Elmo, COP and there will be other to come, popular (fast DOME and regular) PTZ cameras. The NOVEX2000 supports selected AXIS, D-Link, Sony, Elmo and VIVOTEK IP cameras and IP video servers - we will be adding new models as they are released.
