The Video Inserter together with the NOVEX Video Catcher display each transaction as it is rung up, superimposed on the scene of the register area. The composite picture, including the text, can be recorded on your PC , making it available for later review. This complete visual audit trail helps eliminate questions of what clerks are ringing up on a register. This is a great aid to you when you are away, or cannot watch the register area. It also serves as an excellent device for employee training by permitting management to observe how the employee handles customers. There are adjustments that can be made to the display: intensity, character size, style (which includes black or white letters, fringed letters, and background highlighting), the position of the display on the video screen, the number of lines to be displayed, and the length of time the characters remain on the screen before being cleared. The text lines display the most recent transactions that have occurred on the attached register. When a new transaction takes place on the register, all existing transactions displayed on the screen are scrolled up and the latest transaction is displayed on the bottom line. Each line' describes a single transaction, and is composed of up to 24 columns depending upon the print width of the journal or receipt printer. Normally The Video Inserter display may consist of 2 to 12 lines, selectable by the user. Two user selectable text sizes are available: 48 characters per line, and 24 characters per line.
